Stop discrediting our outstanding citizens

Stop discrediting our outstanding citizens
IT is often annoying when persons who have failed in their bids to achieve
some position or the other in life that they seek to discredit those made by
other individuals.
This seems to be the case with Mr. Anand Daljeet who appears as a bitter
person who has failed to get his way in one strata of society.
Mr. Daljeet, in his letters, has demonstrated bitterness towards the
People's Progressive Party/Civic government and its choice of appointees to
various positions.
However, in Mr. Daljeet writings he has been making libellous statements
against these well qualified and distinguished individuals.
Mr. Ravi Narine, Mr. James Singh, Mr. Karran Singh, Dr. James Rose, Dr. Prem
Misir and Dr. Roger Luncheon have all made significant contributions to
their country by choosing to returning to Guyana or remaining here to
contribute their invaluable skills and knowledge to an ever shrinking pool
in our beautiful country.
Instead of discrediting these individuals we should be thanking them for
their continued efforts in working towards the development of Guyana.
If it is Mr. Daljeet's sincere belief that these individuals have committed
'wrong doings' as he has outlined, then instead of using this forum, he
should have taken his evidence (if there is any) to the relevant authorities
to ensure that justice is meted out to everyone.
Mr. Daljeet cannot be allowed to continue discrediting these people by
making unsubstantiated accusations in the media.
It appears as though the gentleman is on a campaign but instead of this why
not make a meaningful contribution to society similar to that of the
individuals you are discrediting.
