Iwokrama had terminated ties with DTL

The Iwokrama International Centre (IIC) does not have a relationship
with Demerara Timbers Limited (DTL) for harvesting timber in the
Iwokrama Forest as stated in our article yesterday captioned 'Demerara
Timbers to be taken over by Bai Shan Lin'.

IIC's subsidiary, Iwokrama Timber Inc had signed an agreement with DTL
in 2006 but this was cancelled.

A new partnership agreement was earlier this year concluded with
Tigerwood Guyana Inc (TGI), a wholly owned Guyanese company committed
to international best practices.

Since earlier this year IIC has been sustainably harvesting its forest
in partnership with TGI.
